Fabrizio Di Benedetto is an antitrust and State aid adviser in the Italian financial sector. He has a consolidated expericence in antitrust compliance, with particular regard to the prevention of cartels, the establishment of legitimate horizontal cooperations and merger review. In this last regard, Fabrizio provides advice on multi-jurisdictional filings, as well as on mergers of national and EU dimension. He mainly focuses on horizontal mergers and more limitedly on transactions with vertical overlaps.
He obtained his Ph.D. in European Union Law at Università degli Studi di Milano in 2016 discussing a thesis on “The Protection of the European Strategic Sectors”. His main research activities focus on the control of foreign direct investment, national security issues, as well as on competition and State aids. He has written several articles and is also a speaker at conferences on these topics.
