C.L.A.S.S.4EU means 4 EU training sessions on family law regulations for Cross-border Lawyers And Social Services.

The Project is co-funded by the Civil Justice Programme of the European Union.

The object is to study and research case law on the application of the relevant legal instruments in European and family law, thus to elaborate training programme and organise training sessions in order to create a train-the-trainers tool on the application of Regulation No. 2201/2003 (Brussels IIa) and its interplay with other EU and international instruments.

The partnership includes Italy, Portugal, Lithuania and Hungary, and five non-beneficiary partners, AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers, based in Brussels), AIGA (Italian Association of Young Lawyers), AIAF (Italian Association of Family Lawyers), the Lithuanian Bar Association, and ISS (International Social Service, based in Geneva).

The final goal is increasing the knowledge of legal practitioners, namely lawyers, but also social services staff, that are involved in proceedings on the protection of children and in family matters in general.
